USB-Storage Mode (HDD) provides
the connection between the computer and TYROS Hard Disk
with faster speed.
This mode is exclusively for the file transfering and
other functions on the TYROS are stopped in this mode.
System Requirement Computer:Equipped with a USB connector
CPU: 166 MHz or higher; Intel Pentium/Celeron processor
Available Memory: 128 MB or more
OS: Windows Me/2000/XP
TYROS: Optional Hard Disk installed.
Operation
Turn on the power while [MUSIC
FINDER] button is pressed.
Then the TYROS shows the following screen. (USB-Storage
Mode)
Connect the TYROS and the computer by USB Cable.
After a while, double-click "My Computer" on the computer.
You will find the new volume like below. This drive is
the Hard Disk on the TYROS.
(If you already set the volume name for this hard disk,
this volume name is appeared.)
Double-click the new volume. You can operate the files
as you do on your computer such as copy, move, rename,
delete and so on.
When you turn off the power of
TYROS or remove the USB cable, you need the following
operation.
Find the "Safety Remove Hardware" icon in the Task Tray.
Usually the Task Tray is located at the right-lower corner
on your computer screen.
When the mouse cursor is located near the icon, the following
message is appeared and you can easily find it.
Click the icon and select the message rounded by the red circle in the figure below.
The computer proceed to remove the connection of TYROS Hard Disk.

When disconnection is done, the following message is appeared.
You can turn off the power of TYROS or remove the USB
cable.
